WHY NEDLAW?

OUR HISTORY

Building Roofs and Reputations

A forty-year veteran of the roofing profession, Randy Walden established Nedlaw Roofs in 1988 to fill a need within the commercial, institutional and industrial sector for high-quality yet reasonably priced roofing services. By successfully completing a wide range of projects that involve unique challenges, Nedlaw has steadily grown to become one of Ontario’s largest and most respected roofing contractors.

Today Nedlaw serves customers across the country, with over one-hundred professional, full-time, year-round staff; our own state-of-the-art equipment; a fully outfitted fleet of vehicles and our on-premises sheet-metal shop.

We Offer a Diverse Range of Services

Nedlaw has accomplished an impressive portfolio of work, often involving out-of-the-ordinary projects. It’s frequently been remarked: What others can’t do, we’ve probably already done. And done quite well.

We confidently offer a diverse range of services, from minor roof repair and maintenance programs to complete re-roofs and new roof installations, in a diverse range of settings, from institutional and retail to multi-unit residential high-rise. Our large capacity enables us to handle multiple projects at the same time, to meet and advance schedules proficiently and to respond quickly to emergencies and service calls.

Here for the Long Term

A roof is an investment in the future, protecting not only a structure but the quality of life for those who work and dwell within it. When designing, installing and maintaining a roof there is no acceptable margin for error. Nedlaw guarantees the highest standards of service and the finest quality workmanship.

We are members of the Ontario Industrial Roofing Contractors Association and the Canadian Roofing Contractors Association, and respectfully practice full compliance of all guidelines and recommendations of these regulatory bodies.

    HEALTH & SAFETY

It’s Safe to Say: Our Record Speaks for Itself

As our record can attest, safety is at the forefront of all Nedlaw Roofs activities. Our focus is to ensure compliance with all applicable safety laws, codes and issues and eliminate all accidents.

    Our Safety Culture

All staff are fully trained in our safety procedures and guidelines, worker responsibilities and the safe handling of equipment and materials. We hold monthly safety meetings, weekly safety talks and ongoing equipment training, to which attendance is mandatory. Our employees are trained in Working at Heights, WHMIS, first aid, torch safety and the proper use of propane. We also have a Joint Health and Safety Committee to assist in the expedient resolution of any safety issues. Project Managers are responsible for the safe set-up of each job and we retain a third-party professional safety consultant to conduct weekly job-site safety inspections.

    Re-enforcing Our Commitment

But we aren’t content to rest there. To encourage continuous improvement in all our safety policies and programs, we have completed eight years as a member of a WSIB safety group and our employees participate at both regional and provincial levels of the Roofers Trade Labour-Management Health and Safety Committee, chaired by the Infrastructure Health and Safety Association of Ontario. We are registered in the COR program and expect successful completion will further assist us in our increasing efforts to provide a safe working environment for our employees.
